I kinda messed up this thread, but I'll just stick with it.

Some people like the whole "glass half full, glass half empty" thing.

So let's see. What kind of general personality do you think you embody?

I am a "realist," the glass is both. Also, being someone who is currently in a program to be ready for an engineering college, I will post the infallible answer that any engineer would blab off... "as an engineer, I would say the glass is twice the size it needs to be, wasting precious material. I would melt half the glass for other use."
