edit ; i doubt someone just swaped a Nismo Ecu into a normal 370z because its a bit more complicated than that
gonna have to correct you on that one, i know what each unit does and how and the vvel sub box has no control over the adjustment of the system. It is a driver box that powers the motors on the actuators and reads the sensor input from the back of the heads the interperets the angle and the amount power and polarity sent to the motors to maintain that angle or change it at the desired speed according to the requested signal the ecu sends. Of course it has a few more functions and several communication lines to the ecu but on the whole the vvel "tune" is stored in the ecu. A certain company has been a little lazy about releasing the tuning software for the vvel, so i started to talk to GTM and some things will be coming together in the future
