You guys are f*cking NUTS! I'd never drive fast in the rain. Not because of my nerves or faith in the car, but because you'll NEVER know what's ahead; and by that I mean other people (and how they're driving), cops, tree branches, etc... There's too many variables in the rain. Hydroplaning is bad, but it's not the only thing that can go wrong. And even if you have AWD, a sudden course adjustment can really ruin your day.
