The problem is that the conditions AREN'T the same. People describe a few discrete factors but can't truly quantify how long they stay at an RPM, where they shift, what the humidity is, if they're driving uphill, etc etc. The cars don't vary enough for oil temperatures to be dramatically different from car to car. The drivers do.
