But seriously my job function is to inform workers of what kind of radiation and contamination levels to anticipate and how to dress and work appropriately. I also send out techs with the workers to ensure they don't put themselves or anyone else at risk. As someone who works in the Nuclear industry and is exasperated by the ignorance and misinformation that the media and general public is presenting, thank you for giving some perspective.
Reading the comments section for the Nuclear articles at CNN makes me seriously concerned about the public perception of nuclear safety and the status of power companies efforts to build new reactors.
