For what you are doing, RE11 is plenty for you. The 265 fits great on my 9" front and 285 looks good on my 10" rear. I do plan to go with 285 on the 9" next week when my RE11 arrives.
Also from experience, you can probably get slightly more life out of the RE11 than the RE050a. I just want you to be aware, this is a 10-15K tire.

The pole position's have very little in common with the RE050a's you've used. They are quieter, and significantly grippier.
